Chaco Culture National Historical Park

The center of the Anasazi culture from AD 900-1100. Contains the largest excavated prehistoric ruins in North America. Visitor center and campground available, no services. 75 miles south on Hwy. 64/Hwy. 550, with 16 miles of dirt road - subject to weather conditions. Visitor Center hours: 8 am - 5pm. Visitor Center is closed on Christmas and New Year's days. Park open sunrise to sunset year-round. Cost: $8 per car. Camping: $10 per night.
