APPLE'S TO STARS: FARMINGTON'S BITE AT STATEHOOD"
Explore Farmington at the time of Statehood. Learn about everyday life during the early years of Farmington, the orchard industry of this little town, and fun facts about Farmington’s past. FROM DINOSAURS TO DRILL BITS
This exhibit highlights the oil and gas story of the San Juan Basin. Using the latest in technology this exhibit educates and entertains visitors about an amazing resource we use every day. Experience the thrill of riding deep into the earth in search of oil on a simulated ground quaking adventure! Learn what it takes to drill thousands of feet looking for black gold, then discover how it's transformed into consumer products. THREE WATERS TRADING POST EXHIBIT
The Three Waters Trading Post exhibit features a walk-through replica of a 1930’s trading post, including a bull pen stocked with period goods and artifacts, pawn room and office showcasing jewelry and rugs. The exhibit is on display at the Farmington Museum in the Gateway Park Museum & Visitors Center, 3041 E. Main St., Farmington.

THE MASTER WEAVERS
This exhibit of Todalena/Two Grey Hills textiles will be on display through May 2013 at the Historic Toadlena Trading Post and Weaving Museum. This authentic 102 year-old trading post supports the local weaving community and this exhibition showcases the best of their efforts, both past and present. The show also celebrates the long awaited publication of the highly acclaimed book of the same title, The Master Weavers, by Toadlena trader, Mark Winter. Toadlena’s history is steeped in the past with an eye on maintaining the region's weaving tradition well into the future. Call, email, or

BIRD WATCHING RIVERSIDE NATURE CENTER
Enjoy bird watching and a beautiful walk through Farmington’s riverside trails every Tuesday morning. More than 100 species of birds have been noted throughout Animas Park and new birds fly in each season. Meet at the Riverside Nature Center, located in Animas Park off Browning Parkway, to join the friendly RNC staff for leisurely walk of 1-2 miles.

Visit the Riverside Nature Center, in Animas Park off Browning Parkway, for this annual exhibit of pictures taken in Animas and Berg Parks. Scenery, wildlife, events, still life, people, and pets are just some of the subjects in this display of works by many photographers, professional and amateur.

PICNIC IN THE PARK FOR PRESCHOOLERS
Preschool children and their families bring lunch and meet at the Riverside Nature Center for a picnic from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a story or activity and a stroller-friendly walk in the park. Learn about plants, insects, birds, and all the interesting wildlife. Feed the friendly ducks and go home in time for naps. This program continues weekly through to September.

In this sequel to Faith County, we return to Mineola County for the community theatre’s production of Romeo and Juliet. The entire beloved group is cast in the debacle, they don’t know their lines, the set isn’t finished and a dog keeps barking offstage. See the final rehearsal and the performance in all its glory and abbreviated entirety. San Juan College and the Native American Center present this annual contest pow wow at the McGee Park Memorial Coliseum, between Farmington and Bloomfield on Hwy 64. Aztec Ruins National Monument will hold its fourth annual Earth Day Celebration, Footprints on the Earth, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.This event is to encourage discussion about ways to minimize impact on the planet by learning from ancestors and exploring new technologies. Red Apple Transit will offer free green transportation with a park-and-ride shuttle for locations in Aztec and Farmington. Special activities provide an interactive community celebration of the environment. Admission is free.

SAN JUAN SYMPHONY CONCERT – NATURE
City life in Beethoven’s time wasn’t so different from today. In the summer the composer escaped the heat, the crowds and the Hummers by fleeing to his beloved country side. Welcome spring with Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony, music filled with the sounds and feelings of outdoor frolicking. Young prizewinning pianist Zhu Wang comes all the way from Shanghai for a sublime concerto by Mozart.
