Visitors travel great distances to attend the Northern Navajo Nation Fair. Often referred to as the "Shiprock Fair", the Northern Navajo Fair is held in Shiprock, New Mexico at the Shiprock Fair Grounds.  The Northern Navajo Nation Fair is the oldest and most traditional of the Navajo Fairs.

One main attraction of the Northern Navajo Nation Fair is the Ye'ii-Bi-Chei Ceremony. It is a very complex and detailed ritual typically held after the first frost.  Therefore the Northern Navajo Nation Fair is typically held the first weekend of October.

The Northern Navajo Nation Fair includes arts and crafts, horticulture, science, agriculture and livestock exhibits.  Visitors can also enjoy rodeos, the Miss Northern Navajo Pageant, Indian Market, a parade, carnival and much more.
